Center’s help to AP on the way

Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Finance visited Vijayawada today. He took the holy dip at Durga Ghat on the special invitation of the state government and received the blessings of Veda Pandits. Arjun Ram Meghwal spoke to media about the Special Status promised to the state.

“We have discussed about this in Parliament. We will very soon announce if it is Special Status or Special Package. Andhra Pradesh is a very important state for the central government,” Arjun Ram Meghwal told the media there. The Minister refused to divulge further details about the issue.

On the other side, there is a clear indication from the center that it is going to be a Special Package and no Special Status. However, opposition parties have already confirmed that they are not ready to take anything other than Special Status. But AP government or people will have no other option but accepting Center’s offering and move on.
