Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s bail petition has been dismissed by the High Court. The petition filed by Vamsi in the assault on the Gannavaram TDP office case and the case of racist slur on computer operator Satyavardhan, has been dismissed by the High Court.
It said that the Court had proofs of assault on Satyavardhan and hence dismissed Vamsi’s plea. YSRCP leader and ex MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi and his followers attacked the Gannavaram TDP office in 2023, on February 20. They created destruction and hurt quite a few people in the process.
He also bad-mouthed computer operator taking out his caste. They set fire to the office and vehicles there. Cases were filed by Gannavaram police on many based on the complaint given by Satyavardhan.
Presently, Vamsi is in judicial remand. The regular bail petition filed by Vallabhaneni Vamsi in Vijayawada Court has been dismissed. After hearings from both sides, the judge gave the ruling.
The Court said there was primary evidence on Vamsi threatening and kidnapping Satyavardhan and presenting him in Court to change his testimony. The investigating agency has collected proofs regarding Vamsi’s involvement. It has been proven that Vallabhaneni Vamsi had a role, said the Court. It also said that the statements by co-accused and the police substantiated the case.
The case is at a crucial stage and the police are ready to file a chargesheet, said the Court. If bail is given at this time, there is a possibility of Vamsi tampering with the proof and repeating previous acts according to police. The Court felt this argument was justified.
Hence it dismissed Vamsi’s bail plea. If situations change, then Vamsi can approach Vijayawada Sessions Court, the High Court said.
