Vardah Hit Chennai in a Crisis

Cyclone Vardah combined with the Demonetization had pushed Chennai into Crisis. There is no currency with the people whatsoever especially due to the long weekend holiday. Almost all the ATM centers have run out of the cash even before Sunday.

And then due to the heavy winds and the rains, internet, and mobile connectivity was hit very badly. Telecom Companies are still struggling to restore them. As a result of the network connectivity failures, POS terminals are all dead and as a result, the city has come to a standstill.

Most of the shops and businesses were set due to no business and transactions. People are struggling to purchase even the basic commodities and are running out of the stocks. On the other side, Jayalalithaa’s sudden demise pushed the government into a crisis and the government is still struggling to come in terms with that.
