Can Vijay Prove Pawan Kalyan Wrong?

Tamil actor Vijay is venturing into Tamil Nadu politics with the upcoming assembly election. He carried out a strong election campaign across Tamil Nadu ahead of the assembly election, which is coming up on April 23.

As is the case, usually with several actors who have entered into politics, and Vijay has gone for the conventional tactic of contesting from two Assembly segments. He is contesting from Trichy East and Perambur constituencies.

The last time notable South Indian actor contested to seats was when Pawan Kalyan contested Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram. This did not end well for him in 2019, as both the constituencies give dismissive results.

This was when Pawan Kalyan tactic and a single constancy while serving his fullest capacity here. This is when the people of Pithapuram backed him, and he won by a thumping majority.

However, Vijay has decided to go for the original formula of contesting two seats with the hope that at least one of them would prove fruitful for him.

But the point of difference, here is that contesting from two seats had never historically worked for actors who ventured into politics. Senior NTR, Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan and others had all suffered at least one defeat if not both.

It has to be seen if Vijay would perform any better in the Tamil Nadu election as he is contesting to seats that are traditionally dominated by the ruling DMK. We will get to know the answer on May 4 when the results will be out.
