Yet another film superstar has entered active politics and this time, it is Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay who announced his party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam that will be contesting the coming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu in 2026.
This has led to a discussion about the crop of film stars who entered politics in the near past and in accordance, Tamil analysts have brought up Chiranjeevi’s name. They are saying that they hope Vijay doesn’t end up like Chiranjeevi by sacrificing the peak of his career for politics and then reverting the decision after a failure.
This Tamil batch is trying to showcase how Chiranjeevi merged PRP and quit politics after one defeat and asking their hero Vijay to come to terms with the fact that politics are a different game and needs more patience.
This has now led to a commotion that the Tamil batch is unfairly dragging Chiranjeevi’s name into Vijay’s political discussion.
Chiru’s fans are rightly arguing that Tamils should look at their own stars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan before commenting about Chiranjeevi.
“Yeah he will instead follow in the footsteps of Rajinikanth who backed out from even contesting and in the footsteps of Kamal Hasan who even forgot his party’s name within 3 months of losing the election!” A hardcore Chiranjeevi fan effectively articulated the saga.
Chiru’s fans are fairly arguing that Tamil batch should not have dragged Chiru into this narrative while conveniently ignoring their own stalwarts Rajini and Chiru. They surely have a strong point to make, one must note.
