Vijayawada Metro master plan deadline!

Vijayawada Metro Incharge Sridharan visited the city recently and visited the proposed Metro rail routes like Bandar Road and Eluru Road. He reviewed all the works that happened till now for the project. He later spoke to the media and assured them that the Master Plan for Vijayawada Metro will come up by March. Sridharan also added that Extending metro till AP’s new capital will be only considered in the next phase of Metro construction.

According to preliminary assumptions. Officials are planning to link the capital from two corridors that will come up from Pandit Nehru bus stand in the first phase. As a part of it. a bridge will be constructed from bus stand till Tadepally over Krishna river. From there around Seetanagaram hill, metro rail way will be constructed which will be extended to Tullur region.

While all these are just proposals at this stage, more clarity will only emerge after Master Plan of the upcoming state capital is locked by the concessionaire as well as the state government.
