Viral Video: TRS MLA Calls Taliban As Role Model

Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLA Ramulu Naik has hogged the limelight for the wrong reason. At a party meeting in Wyra, Khammam district, Ramulu made a bizarre comment comparing the party cadre to Taliban and Naxalites. A video of his speech is going viral on social media.

“When the whistle blows you have to hold a stick and party flag as a weapon and fight for the party like Taliban and Naxalites. We should take roads with vengeance. TRS party is well trained for war,” Ramulu Naik said. After making the loose-tongue comment, Ramulu corrected himself.

He explained that he did not mean terrorists but trained soldiers. When the entire world abhors Taliban and governments detest Naxals, it is bizarre how the MLA could compare his own party cadre to them. The comments have drawn stringent criticism from the Opposition as well.

Ramulu Naik was known for slip of tongue at party meetings embarrassing the party. Ramulu Naik won the 2018 elections as an Independent with a slender margin of 2000 votes over the TRS candidate. He later joined the TRS party.
