Politics have become a cruel game these days. They are no longer bordering decency or class. The recent comments of YSR Congress Kovvuru Candidate Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy are the example of indecent Politics.
Nallapureddy ridiculed his opponent, Prashanthi Reddy as the second wife of Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy. Prashanthi Reddy herself spoke about it in clarification.
“Since I am your candidate, I feel my introduction is necessary. My parents are from Chittoor district and I studied in Tirupati. I was married to the same house as Nallapureddy Sreenivasula Reddy‘s sister. I married Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy‘s younger brother Harshavardhan Reddy but unfortunately he passed away,” she said.
“Maybe it is the will of God. I got married to Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy with consent of both the families and my children (from first marriage). Since I am coming to you as your daughter and sister, I am introducing myself to you,” Prashanthi Reddy.
Nallapureddy is aware of the past but chose to play petty politics and forced a woman to talk publicly about her bitter past. Prashanthi Reddy was clearly seen struggling while narrating her past.
However, she stood her ground and displayed her strongwill. She also sent a message that no cheap politics can hit her resolve. The video is going viral on social media and people are applauding her.
This is an incidence of shame for Nallapureddy and also his party. But tragedy is that they have become thick-skinned to such things.
