Vishaka East: Group Politics In YCP Helping Velagapudi

Telugu Desam Party is super strong in the Vishaka East constituency. The party has been winning this constituency for three terms in a row.

Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu won all the three times.

YSR Congress is banking on the anti-incumbency of the sitting MLA to turn the tide in their favor.

YSR Congress is encouraging Yadavs and the Fishermen community to woo the BC voters of the constituency.

Akaramani Vijaya Nirmala who contested and lost on the YSRCP ticket was made the coordinator and was also made the chairperson of Vishakapatnam Metro Development authority.

Vamsi Krishna Srinivas who previously lost two times from this constituency was made an MLC.

Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari of the same constituency was made Vishaka Mayor.

In this way, three important BC leaders of the constituency were given important posts.

The party’s high command is expecting the BC voters to rally with the party in 2024.

But then, all three leaders are resorting to Group politics and fighting each other for tickets.

YSR Congress cadre is worried if these group politics will prove counter-productive and help the TDP for a fourth term.
