Viveka Case: Viveka’s Daughter Attends High Court

The High Court has been hearing the bail petitions filed by Y Sunil Yadav (A2), Gajjala Umashankar Reddy (A3), and Devireddy Shivshankar Reddy (A5), accused in the murder case of former minister YS Viveka.

Arguments on behalf of the accused have already been completed. Lawyers for the CBI and Viveka‘s daughter Sunita will have their arguments today.

Sunita appeared in court in the wake of this. Erra Gangireddy, who is already A1 in the case, is out on bail.

Lawyers of the accused told the court that statements had been collected from the witnesses and that there was no danger to their lives. The court has therefore already been asked to grant bail to the accused.

When the arguments on the petition filed by Shivshankar Reddy started last Monday, Sunita’s lawyer responded and said that they had filed a implead petition to hear their arguments as well. She said she deserved to be implicated as the daughter of the deceased.

Sunitha’s lawyers informed the court that Shivshankar Reddy’s petition was struck down by a judge and this petition should be also sent to the same judge for a hearing.
