Vizag Stadium Fit to Host India-NZ Match

The fifth ODI between India and New Zealand will go on in Vishakapatnam as planned earlier. There are reports in some sections of media that the pitch in the stadium is not fit for an international match and the match may be shifted out of Vishakapatnam.

BCCI curator Sriram Kasturi Rangan had inspected the pitch on Wednesday and seems to have given the green signal.

Andhra Cricket Association had confirmed that the match will be staged in the ACA-VDCA stadium in Vishakapatnam as planned earlier. The same stadium is also going to host its first ever Test match next month in which India will take on England. The flurry of wickets in the Assam vs Rajasthan Ranji Trophy match had created a lot of doubts about the state of the wicket finally all of them were dispelled.
