They pressurizing the party to give the ticket to a BC candidate this time. This group is working independently.

They are supported by party leaders – Pilla Vijay Kumar and Avanapu Vijay who are the followers of Minister Botsa Satyanarayana.

Kolagatla is expecting a ticket for himself or his daughter Sravani.

In a recent party program, the MLA had warned his detractors right in the presence of Botsa.

Thereby he sent a message at once to the Minister as well as the group working against him.

BC leaders are demanding that the seat should be given to a BC candidate or they will defeat Kolagatla at any cost.

Party supporters are worried that this group politics will cost the party big time in 2024.

Kolagatla won the 2019 elections over Aditi Gajapathi Raju with a slender margin of around 6000 votes.

So, it is not an easy seat for YSR Congress to fight within itself and expect to win.
