VMC cost cutting ways setting example in AP

Usually government employees are branded as the ones who live on government’s money and waste it luxuriously. But the employees in Vishakapatnam Municipal Corporation proved it wrong. In order to save the government money, the corporation employees decided that they will not use government vehicles on every Monday.

On those days, the employees will take public transport or their own vehicles even for official work. With this method, the corporation will save at least 15.59 Lakhs per year. On Monday, they have rested 58 government vehicles.

Some of the employees came to the work on foot on Monday. The corporation gives 10 Liters Diesel allowance to each vehicle per day. Which means they have saved 580 liters of Diesel on Monday. Every one should appreciate this good gesture of the employees!
