Want Security: Viveka Case Approver

Dastagiri who turned approver in Viveka murder case has approached Kadapa SP office. He submitted a letter asking for protection to the SP.

He requested that the earlier security be revived. He said as witnesses are dying one after the other, he must be given security. Dastagiri had added that he trusted the alliance government to keep him secure.

After submitting the letter, Dastagiri spoke to the media. He said who was involved in the murder and who murdered is known to people. Dastagiri claimed that Jagan made them carry out the murder and is roaming about freely. Is Jagan ready to talk with me openly, he questioned.

I live near Jagan’s house and I fear for my life from them. Which is why I am seeking security, said Dastagiri.

If we go back a little, Dastagiri was held as a remand prisoner in Kadapa jail from October 2023 to February 2024. He alleges that DSP Nagaraju and CI Eswaraiah told him to support the YSRCP leaders at the time.

He also alleged that Dr Chaitanya Reddy coerced him in November 2023 in Kadapa jail to testify against the then SP Ram Singh. Dastagiri said he was offered Rs 20 crore for testifying against Ram Singh. He also said he was harassed by the jail superintendent while he was in Kadapa jail.
