Wear a Lungi, Pay Rs.2000 Fine!

While people are crying on the increase of fines on violating traffic rules and making the funny memes viral on the internet, another regulation from UP traffic police department is making headlines now. That is 2000 rupees fine for driving wearing lungi.

It is a direct regulation to the lorry drivers and their assistants who travel long distances and feel lungi to be the comfort asset for the never-ending journey.

Well, now they have to get out of their comfort zone and wear only full pants and a T-shirt or shirt. It applies not just to the drivers but their assistants or the cleaners according to the updated Motor Vehicles Act.

This is not a new law but only the new fine is highlighting the act and the officials made it strict this time. Well, while people wonder how a driver wearing lung harms anyone, traffic police found another way to tick some tickets on.
