Weekend Brings Cheer to Telangana Government!

The last one week has been miserable for the people in Hyderabad. Heavy Rains lashed the city bringing down a downpour which is the second biggest ever in the history of Hyderabad and the biggest over the last decade. This has emerged as a huge challenge for TRS government. In fact, it is the first major challenge for the TRS government since it came to power.

This is the first of its kind crisis for the first government of the newest state of the country and for obvious reasons, it struggled to handle the ground situation. The Met department is forecasting rains further for the next couple of the days. But then, the weekend holidays bring the much-needed relief to the government and the officials.

Schools and colleges are anyways closed. IT companies will be shut for the next two days. The holidays will clear the traffic on roads at least by 50% and which give a breather to the machinery. The state government tried its level best to convince the IT companies to give Work From Home option to the employees in the last couple of days but most companies did not oblige.
