What It Takes To Accelerate Viveka’s Case?

YS Sunitha Reddy met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the AP Secretariat the other day.

She urged that steps be taken to ensure that the accused in the Viveka murder case are punished as soon as possible.

This is the second time Sunitha met the CM after the elections.

In September 2024, Sunitha, along with her husband, met AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.

It is known that YS Vivekananda Reddy was murdered before the 2019 elections.

Although the CBI took up the case, no breakthrough has been made so far.

YS Sunitha has been fighting a legal battle for a long time to ensure that her father’s killers are punished.

Currently, the Supreme Court is hearing her petition urging to cancellation of the bail of the accused in this case.

The Supreme Court has asked the CBI some questions and will decide based on its response.

On June 30th, 2023, the CBI filed the second chargesheet in the YS Vivekananda Reddy’s Murder Case, and since then, the investigation has stalled.

The CBI, which has been telling the courts that the investigation should continue to uncover the wider conspiracy behind the murder, has not touched the case for two years.

The question now is how Jagan is able to exert pressure on the Center to stop the investigation.

Another important question is why Chandrababu Naidu, despite being in a commanding position in Delhi, is not able to pressure the Modi Government.

YS Vivekananda Reddy’s case played a crucial role in the defeat of Jagan. People believed the campaign of Sunitha and Sharmila against their brother.

If the case does not reach a logical conclusion this term, YSR Congress would use it against Chandrababu Naidu.

Also, it is important to stand by a woman who is fighting all alone.

She has indirectly helped the TDP and its allies significantly. If justice is not done for her, this victory will be meaningless.
