What’s Wrong in Revanth Reddy’s Bandh Call?: High Court

Hyderabad High Court found fault with Telangana Police over the arrest of Congress Working President Revanth Reddy and questioned what is wrong if he called for a Bandh. The court also asked which crime they prevented by arresting him. The Police have informed the court that they have specific inputs from the intelligence about a possible law and order issue.

The court asked the police to submit all the evidence that lead to arrest today itself and posted the hearing to 4 PM later today. The court also summoned the Advocate General to the Court on this issue. On the other side, Chief Election Officer, Rajat Kumar ordered the immediate release of Revanth Reddy after Congress’ Letter to the Election Commission.

Latest Update At 5 pm:

Revanth Reddy is reportedly sick and was taken to a local hospital in Jadcherla. Later he was being taken towards Hyderabad in a Special Vehicle escorted with Police Personnel. It is not known where they are heading to.
