Why is CBI Negligent About YS Viveka’s Case?

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after coming to power had surprisingly became silent on his uncle, YS Vivekananda Reddy’s Murder case. While he demanded for CBI Investigation when in Opposition, he did nothing about the case after coming to power. Viveka’s daughter had to knock the High Court doors and get the CBI Investigation.

CBI approached the High Court citing no co-operation from Pulivendula Police. The court had directed Pulivendula Magistrate to handover all the records pertaining to the case to the CBI. The records were handed over five months ago and the CBI visited Pulivendula only once or twice.

It looks like the CBI is also not bothered much about the case for reasons best known to themselves. Earlier, Viveka’s daughter, Sunitha submitted a list of suspects in the murder. Kadapa YSR Congress MP YS Avinash Reddy is one of the fourteen suspects.

Avinash is suspect Number Nine in the list while his father YS Bhaskar Reddy is seventh. Another YS family member, YS Manohar Reddy is suspect number eight. Avinash’s close associate and YSRCP State Secretary, D Siva Shankar Reddy, and another person, Uday Kumar Reddy are also on the list.

Some associates of Viveka and the local police officials are also on the list. Former TDP Minister Adinarayana Reddy who is now in BJP and B.Tech Ravi who is a TDP MLC are on the list with TDP connection.
