IT folks to miss ‘Mother of all surveys’?

A multitude of 50,000 enumerators getting ready for the biggest survey called ‘Mother of all surveys’ which covers 8.4 million households across the 10 districts of Telangana in a single day. TS government has drawn severe criticism for fielding 400,000 employees for house to house exercise. While TS government declared 19th as holiday, none of the 1,281 registered IT shops have given promise to the sate officials about shutting their operations for survey.

There is a great possibility that none of the IT workers, around 3.23 lakh and around 8.5 lakh indirect IT support staff would not be participating in the survey except the folks who have evening shifts. IT bigwigs have already conveyed to the state government that they can not afford to shut down their operations as they have been given very short notice. Meanwhile, TS officials just released the gazette notification a while ago to get away with PIL filed against the survey in High court.
