Why KIA is Giving Sleepless Nights to YSR Congress?

Even since the first car from Kia Motors Anantapur Plant was unveiled, there is a sense of insecurity in the YSR Congress. Kia Motors Plant is the Biggest Achievement of Chandrababu Naidu’s Regime so far. It is also the Biggest FDI ever in the history of India. So, YSR Congress always tried to underplay this project.

It all started with YSR Congress claiming it as a Fake MOU. The party did not expect it to materialize but it happened and then in the name of standing by the farmers, the Opposition Party tried to disrupt the Land Acquisition. The Government convinced the farmers by offering them excellent prices for parting with their lands.

Kia in 2018 announced unveiling the first car from the plant in January 2019. YSR Congress hoped that it will get delayed and will come out only after the elections but the Trial Car arrived on dot. To overshadow the achievement, Sakshi was deployed. First they said Anantapur Plant is never ready and the trial car was brought from Korea.

After people not buying the argument, they brought out a new argument that the plant is not giving employment to the locals and is hiring only the Tamilians. In a shocking move, the party called for a Protest before the plant today. They even extensively publicized about the protest in surrounding villages but except for a handful of local YSR Congress Leaders, no one turned up at the meeting. It looks like Kia is causing a lot of heartburn for YSR Congress.
