Will BJP Target Jagan So Early?

After trying for Union Home Minister, Amit Shah’s appointment for a month, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy finally managed the appointment the other day and he rushed to Delhi. There are speculations that Jagan is trying to strike a deal with Amit Shah about his cases and the pending petition of exemption from his court appearances.

Jagan is trying to be as obedient as possible to the Center and even shared the name of his Rythu Bharosa scheme with Modi’s. But then, the state BJP leaders are attacking Jagan’s Government as if there is no tomorrow. Everyone including the Opposition is eager to see the center’s move over Jagan.

It is natural that the ambitious BJP will target Jagan to extend its sway over Andhra Pradesh but the question is when. “Jagan is not even Six Months old in Power, targeting him at this point in time will only give him sympathy. Probably, they will wait for a year or two for the anti-incumbency to pile up,” a Political Expert opines.

“Probably, whatever happens to Jagan will happen only through the courts till then. We should not say who will prompt the courts to do that but it will happen,” the expert added. BJP has co-operated with YSR Congress to defeat Chandrababu Naidu but it looks like the bonhomie is shortlived.
