Will Jagan Breathe Life to Congress ?

Buzz is intensifying about Congress and YSR Congress getting close to each other once again. we are said that Congress President Sonia Gandhi is keen on reviving the party fortunes in the state which was once the stronghold of Congress. She reportedly deployed Digvijay Singh with an agreement of truce to Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Congress asked Jagan to merge his party and take control of party affairs in the state. He also assured that party high command will not interfere in party affairs. Jagan was promised all independence including the constitution of party committees and selection of candidates for 2019 elections.

In case, if this all not works, Congress is keen on having a pre-poll alliance with YSR Congress. Jagan reportedly asked for some more time to decide. We have seen Digvijay Singh supporting Jagan’s speculated Padayatra earlier. So, the speculations are everywhere in the air.

The demolition of Congress started in AP with Jagan breaking out after the high command refused to make him as the Chief Minister following his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s death. And then things have gone further worse with the state bifurcation, which made Congress draw a blank in the 2014 elections. The grand old party is currently on a ventilator.
