Will Jagan Perform Yagam With Wife?

Strange are the ways of YSR Congress Government in Andhra Pradesh. The Government runs only on debts and the employees do not get salaries even in the middle of the month. This is a ritual of every month.

But then, the Government is spending 10 Crore on a Yagam. The Endowments Minister says the Yagam is for the well-being of the Chief Minister and his return to Power.

The Minister says if the People’s Chief Minister is Good, the People and the State will be equally good.

Endowments department and TTD will foot the bill for this Yagam which will happen at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Vijayawada on May 12th to 17th.

On the other hand, the Opposition BJP is asking if the Chief Minister will participate in this Yagam along with his wife.

“Yagams are to be performed Sathi Sametha. YS Bharathi is not seen along with Jagan in similar rituals so far as she is said to be a strong Christian believer. If the CM does not participate with his wife, it will be an insult to our sentiments,” BJP and other Hindu groups are saying.

Keeping aside the sentiments, it is sad to see Public funds to splurge on Yagams for the wellbeing of the CM when unseasonal rains hit the farmers across the state really bad.
