Will Pawan Kalyan Shoulder BJP’s Campaign in Tirupati?

Central Election Commission has announced the Schedule for Tirupati Loksabha and Nagarjunasagar By-election. The polling for these constituencies will happen on April 2nd. This means these elections will happen three days before the first phase of elections in various states.

In all likelihood, BJP central leaders will give a skip to the campaign since they will be busy in the campaign and election management in other states. That means BJP will have no star power to lead their campaign in Tirupati. AP BJP already lacks the star power to grab the eyeballs this is going to be a deterrent.

That brings us to the question if Pawan Kalyan will lead the campaign from the front. Janasena wanted to contest in this seat but BJP did not allow. We have been seeing the friction between BJP and Janasena in Telangana. Moreover, Pawan Kalyan did not campaign even for Janasena in the municipal elections.

If Pawan Kalyan aggressively campaigns and if BJP puts up a better show, the Saffron party will claim the credit of good show and it will use that to bulldoze Janasena in future elections. But if he does take the responsibility, it will impress the BJP high command. Let us see what Pawan Kalyan does about it.
