Will Speaker Accept Revanth Reddy’s Resignation?

Revanth Reddy has quit TDP and submitted his Resignation as Kodangal MLA in Speaker’s Format. According to the rules, it should be accepted but it will come with several political compulsions. When Speaker accepts Revanth’s resignation, questions will be on other pending resignations and disqualification petitions.

If the speaker does not accept Revanth Reddy’s petition as well, it will be showcased as TRS’ weakness and allegations will come that KCR is afraid of facing Revanth Reddy in a by-election. If the resignation is accepted, Kodangal by-election will happen anytime in the next six months.

TRS has to win this election at any cost to ensure that Congress does not get teeth before 2019 elections. If Revanth wins that, he will emerge as the Baahubali for Congress and will boost his chances as a right alternative for KCR in the state level for 2019 elections.
