Will Jagan Resign in 2018?

Political Developments seem to be disappointing for Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the run-up to 2019 elections as Center has decided to form Special Courts to investigate into the cases of Politicians for their early disposal.

One Special Court will be obviously dedicated to Jagan who is the Prime Accused in numerable Corruption Cases. Jagan who is going to the Court only on Fridays until now may have to court daily if that happens. It will seriously hamper YSR Congress’ Poll Preparation.

Jagan may have to resign as an MLA before the Special Court is set up. So he is no longer a Lawmaker and will escape the daily court hearing. Jagan may choose Special Status or another issue to cover up his resignation.

Jagan can not contest in the upcoming election if he is convicted in at least one of the cases. So, he has to tread carefully. The Opposition Leader for this reason, is maintaining good relations with the BJP led Central Government as well for Delhi’s help as and when needed.
