TDP MLAs complained to the speaker that Minister Nagarjuna asked the Kondepi MLA if he is really born to Dalit parents. Nagarjuna also belongs to the SC community but still made objectionable comments on the Opposition MLA.
TDP demanded that the minister should take back those comments and also demanded that Meruga should be sacked from the cabinet.
It is highly objectionable if you do not control such comments on the birth of the members even after sitting in the Speakers chair, they said to the speaker.
On the other side, Chief Whip Srikanth Reddy went on to say their minister never made such comments.
“Let us see unedited footage of the assembly. But don’t say there are no records like how you did the last time,” PAC Chairman Payyavula Keshav said.
