Jagan Caught Between YV and Balineni

Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy is navigating a complex political situation involving former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and former TTD chairman YV Subbareddy in Prakasam district, who have both played significant roles in his political journey.

YV Subbareddy has reportedly asked for an opportunity for either himself or his son in the next election, creating a challenge for Jagan. In response, Balineni has expressed his unwillingness to cooperate with either of them in a direct election and has offered to contest against them anywhere in Prakasam district.

This political conflict between YV and Balineni has been ongoing for several years and has recently escalated. A Janasena corporator in Visakhapatnam has made allegations against Balineni and his brother-in-law Bhaskara Reddy, raising suspicions among Balineni’s supporters that YV may be involved in this criticism.

In an attempt to find a solution, Jagan has instructed the IPAC company and other survey organizations he has hired to conduct surveys on the popularity and feasibility of YV Subbareddy’s son, Vikrant Reddy, contesting in his own constituency, Bapatla district Addanki. However, the feedback regarding Vikrant Reddy from the survey in Addanki constituency is said to be less favorable.

YV Subbareddy has also appealed to Jagan to provide an opportunity for his son to contest either in the Ongole Lok Sabha constituency or from Darshi or Giddalur constituencies.

Meanwhile, Balineni is openly announcing that Magunta will contest as a Lok Sabha candidate again. This complex situation has left Chief Minister Jagan in a state of uncertainty as he seeks to balance the interests and aspirations of both political figures.
