What Is Jagan’s Stance on Amaravati?

The leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is still unclear about his stance on Amaravati. It is clear from the start that Jagan is not happy with the location of the Capital and many give proofs that he is funding the cases that were filed against the Capital. Jagan himself on several occasions revealed that he will give back the lands of farmers once he is Power.

But then the ambiguity over the Capital continues. The Interim Secretariat begins to function in Amaravati and slowly the other constructions will also begin. While some YSR Congress leaders openly support the cases against Amaravati, some leaders are making political allegations on the government about no progress on the Capital Construction.

One could not understand why the party is worried about no construction when it intends to give back the lands taken for the capital? On the other side, even as 500 Crore worth interim secretariat is constructed and the administration is totally being shifted to Amaravati, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Party still operates from Hyderabad.

In fact, it is about 2 Months since the Leader of Opposition visited the Capital Area and it indicates that there are some serious flaws over the main opposition party’s stance over the Capital. Krishna and Guntur districts are slowly polarizing against YSR Congress since 2014 elections. The damage will be very severe if he does not wake up and take corrective measures.
