Viveka Case: Sunitha Approaches Supreme Again

A fresh development has emerged in the case of YS Vivekananda Reddy. His daughter Dr Sunita has once again approached the Supreme Court seeking a deeper probe. She questioned why the Hyderabad Central Bureau of Investigation limited its interrogation to only two individuals.

Sunita also challenged the ruling passed by the CBI special court. She urged the Apex Court to order an inquiry into the role of key players behind the murder. Earlier, the jury had directed the trial court to take a decision within three months.

Following the Supreme Court order, the CBI court restricted the investigation to limited aspects of the case. Against this backdrop, Sunita filed a fresh application questioning the directions issued to the trial court. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the matter on next Tuesday.

Sunita Reddy stated that the earlier investigation failed to examine all angles. She stressed the need for a thorough inquiry based on the CBI findings. She also expressed concern that the probe lacked depth despite being handled by the agency.

Issues related to bail for the accused and the safety of witnesses are also linked to the case. There is growing curiosity over the Supreme Court’s next order. From the beginning, the case has remained a subject of intense political debate.
