YSR Congress Now and Then: Classic Case of U-Turn Politics

Gone are the days of YSR Congress used to demand Special Status for Andhra Pradesh in the Parliament. At one stage, they even resigned in protest (But timed in a way that they can not be accepted). But once in power and 22 out of 25 MP seats in kitty, YSR Congress takes a U-Turn.

Ahead of the Parliament session, YSR Congress MPs have sat for a crucial discussion about the agenda for this session. They have decided to exert pressure on the Central Government to initiate a CBI Probe on the alleged Lands Scam in Amaravati and AP Fiber Net.

They have unanimously decided to question the Center over the irregularities in Amaravati. Political Experts say this is outright funny. “These are the issues in the purview of the State Government. The Government can issue a G.O asking for CBI Inquiry. It makes no sense to exert pressure on the Center,” they say.

“There are several pending issues like Special Status, Railway Zone, Division of Assets between AP and Telangana etc. Leaving all those and running over trivial issues just indicate that there is nothing more than politics. YSRCP should prioritize crucial issues over Vendetta Politics,” they add.
