‘On 11th, 11 MLAs Left After 11 Minutes’

This is no quote from a book. It is the way Andhra Pradesh Speaker Ayyannapatrudu described the attendance or the presence of YSRCP MLAs in the Assembly.

The Assembly sessions started on Wednesday with the Governor’s speech. YS Jagan had announced that he will be attending the session on Wednesday.

Speaking during a chit chat with media in the Assembly lobby, Speaker Ayyannapatrudu made these light-hearted comments. He said they didn’t stay more than that time.

The YSRCP members came, staged a protest and left. This has become a norm with YS Jagan and his 10 MLAs who make statements outside the Assembly demanding recognition as the opposition party. Ayyannapatrudu felt that it is high time they behaved as responsible legislators.

The Andhra Pradesh citizens are rather amused and irritated by Jagan’s ‘blink and go’ attendance in the Assembly. The political insiders say it is just an attempt to sign in the register and disappear as YSRCP is not eligible to give speeches or raise issues on the floor due to its 11 member strength.
