YCP To Deny Bheemili Ticket For Avanthi?

Avanthi Srinivasa Rao was an MP in TDP’s rule in 2014-19. He shifted to YSR Congress just before the elections and won as MLA from Bheemili. He was the sole minister in erstwhile Vishakapatnam district.

Some vulgar leaks during his tenure as the minister dented Avanthi’s image.

Jagan stripped him off the cabinet berth in the last expansion. Since then, problems started for Avanthi. Even though he was appointed as district President after that, he had to resign.

Later Panchakarla Ramesh was brought in his place and Avanthi’s men were sidelined in the district committee. Since then, Avanthi has become inactive in party activities.

There are rumors in the district that he may be denied Bheemili ticket in 2024. There is a divide between the cadre and Avanthi in the district.

There has been a clear gap between Avanthi and the district leaders and also the party’s high command. YSR Congress leaders are not supporting Avanthi when TDP targets him.

There are rumors that Ghanta Srinivasa Rao will contest from Bheemili in 2024. So, Avanthi will have to face a tough opponent even if he gets a ticket.
