Zero Allocation for Amaravati in State Budget

The finance minister Payyavula Keshav presented the state budget today morning. But it is interesting to note that ‘0’ funds have been allocated to capital Amaravati.

Tadikonda MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar pointed out that Amaravati is a self-sustained project. The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCDA) and Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) will complete Amaravati and if it takes any loans, they will be cleared said the MLA.

As thier leader Chandrababu mentioned, there is no need to allocate funds for Amaravati in the state budget, he said. The works are about to start in Amaravati. We can clearly see it is a self-sustainable project, said the MLA.

With aid from World Bank, Asia Development Bank and HUDCO, we will be able to get the requisite funds from the Centre for Amaravati. This has been facilitated by our Chief Minister.

With all this, Amaravati has become a self-sustaining project, informed Kumar.

This is a slap on the face of the opposition as they blamed the Central government for not giving funds for the development of Amaravati. Also, they stalled the process of development in Amaravati with revengeful attitude.

Now, the development process which will start in March will surely be a case study in terms of self-sustaining cities.
