OUR RATING

What is ”Mahesh” about?
Shiva (Sundeep Kishan) is a lazy and irresponsible engineering student who falls in love with his class mate, Sandhya (Dimple Chopade) instantly. With the help of his friend, Vasanth (Jagan), he impresses Sandhya in an industrial tour and finally gets married to her. While Sandhya is working, Shiva stays unemployed. One fine day, an incident leads him to suspect his wife and starts the search of her secret companion, Mahesh with help of Vasanth. What happens next forms the rest.

How is the Sandeep Kishan?
Sundeep Kishan is an apt fit for the role but he is not tested enough by the director. The role itself is poorly written and the output is even worse. Should feel sorry for him that he chose such a role at this budding stage.

How is R Madhankumar’s direction?
R.Madhan Kumar is the culprit behind the movie failure. He got everything wrong right from a weak and predictable script. The characters are very poorly written. Except for some double meaning dialogues, there is nothing the movie offers

What about Dimple, Jagan and others ?
Dimple Chopade looked pretty but do not have anything to do on the screen. Jagan who played hero’s friend is very energetic and lively. He brought in some good laughs in to the movie. Sana Oberoi looked hot in an item number. Rest of the characters are okay in the limited roles they are offered.

How is Music, Songs and Dances and other departments?
Gopi Sunder’s music is good but back ground score is too loud. There is no much scope for dances. The camera work by Raana is impressive. Editing could have been a lot better. At least a good 15 minutes can be chopped off from the second half. There are too many close up shots in the movie which clears shows that there is no lip sync due to the dubbing effect

Highlights?
1. Few Comedy scenes between Shiva and Vasanth.
2. Few dialogues.

Drawbacks?
1. Predictable script and poor direction
2. Second half
3. Climax

What about its box office prospects?
Looks like Sundeep Kishan has registered one more failure at the box office. Better luck next time dude!

Did I enjoy it?
No
