What is the film Needi Naadi Oke Katha about?
Needi Naadi Oke Katha is about Sagar (Sree Vishnu) who is averse to studies. His father is a hugely respected person in society. Their conflict and resolution form the film.

How is Sree Vishnu’s performance?
It can be said without any doubt that Needi Nadi Oke Katha is the best performance in the career of Sree Vishnu so far. It is right in his zone where he doesn’t have to be heroic or play a hero. He is the familiar boy next door with frustration and Sree Vishnu nails the part to perfection. All his conversation scenes with father are sure to leave an impact.

Direction By Udugula Venu?
Director Venu Udugula needs to be commended for sticking to what he wants to convey without bothering about the commercial trappings. It helps the film a lot thematically and the message it wants to communicate.

On the surface the story is simple and so is the final message. The idea is to make one realise to do what an individual feels happy to do rather than put up a show for society or parents and pretend to be something they are not. The message is delivered forcefully, at times and that’s where the director falters.

After a point, one gets a feeling that we are watching the same thing being told again and again. One wants to scream we get the point, now what’s next? There is no “next” in Needi Nadi Oke Katha, it is a single point driven the narrative, and that is taken to its logical and expected conclusion by having multiple loops of the same things being shown again and again. Thankfully, the performances are strong which hold it all together.

In the end, the message is an important one, and the acting is solid all around, and that makes Needi Nadi Oke Katha, an engaging one-time watch. Yes, it is bound to bore after a point, but the noble intentions overcome that aspect, for a single watch.

Satna Titus and others?
Satna Titus is lovely as a heroine who is basically the studious girl next door type. She fits the part well and pulls off the role. Apart from her, there are three essential roles that of the father, mother and sister, together forming a family with the hero. They are all well cast and do their jobs excellently with each having a moment or two to shine and register. The father character is, especially, well written and acted.

Music and other departments?
Music by Suresh Bobbili goes with the flow of the film and adds to the overall impact. It never overpowers the narrative or sticks out. The cinematography is decent. The editing is fine majorly. The writing is the soul of the movie along with the acting.
