The recent deep fake video scandal involving actress Rashmika took social media by storm. Now, another actress, Kajol, was a target of malicious individuals who created a deep fake video.
The fake video used Kajol’s face in a clip originally posted by a social media influencer with the title “Get ready with me.” This manipulated video was then shared as Kajol’s dress changing footage, quickly spreading virally.
People are now condemning the trend of targeting celebrities with deepfake videos. They are demanding government to take necessary steps to prevent other individuals fall prey for this malicious act. Reports indicate that the video was initially posted by a social media personality on TikTok in June of this year.
