War of words has reached the next level in Telangana politics. Instead of criticizing their opponents respectfully, leaders are using personal abuse against each other. Yesterday, KCR made personal remarks against Revanth Reddy. Today, Revanth Reddy counter-attacked KCR with personal abuses.
Speaking at the Assembly today, Revanth Reddy criticised the way how KCR abused Congress party leaders in the Nalgonda public meeting yesterday. He said, “Despite holding positions such as MLA, MP, Cabinet Minister, Union Minister, and two-time Chief Minister, KCR failed to uphold the dignity and resorted to making the statement, ’em peekaniki poinav’. ”
“People have already lowered your pants. Now, we will take off your shirt. (Ippatike prajalu pant oodapeekinru. Ippudu mem unna angi, chokka oodapeektham),” Revanth went on to add. The house exploded in uproar when Revanth used such language.
Condemning Revanth’s language against KCR, BRS MLAs walked out of the Assembly. Later, they were restricted from accessing the media point, prompting them to stage a protest against being denied entry.
