Narasimha Rao, the state president of the Medrakula Sangam, has filed a complaint with the CID against Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
While many YCP leaders quietly maintain that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has not erred, a leader from a caste community has spoken out, claiming that Jagan Mohan Reddy has indeed breached a promise. The complaint, subsequently lodged with the CID, demands action against Jagan. It is widely remembered that Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a padayatra while in opposition. During this padayatra, Jagan Mohan Reddy made assurances that if elected to power, he would include the Medarakulasts in the SC list and grant special status to Andhra Pradesh. This commitment was reaffirmed by CM Jagan during the 2019 Eluru BC Garjana Sabha, specifically addressing the concerns of the Medara castes. However, after assuming power, Jagan Mohan Reddy appears to have disregarded this pledge.
With general elections on the horizon in Andhra Pradesh in a few months, Narasimha Rao, the President of the Medarakula Association, has expressed his dismay towards CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. He has raised concerns, alleging that CM Jagan might be attempting to deceive the public once more as the elections draw near. Furthermore, 151 YCP MLAs and MPs from the party have been named in the complaint submitted to CID officials. Narasimha Rao showcased the complaint document to the media, expressing frustration with YCP leaders.
