The Rampur MP/MLA Court in Uttar Pradesh ordered the Superident of Police to arrest the actress and politician Jayaprada in two cases related to the violation of the code of conduct during the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.
Jayaprada was supposed to appear at the court hearing on Monday. However, she chose to skip it, marking the seventh occasion she had missed court despite the issuance of a non-bailable warrant. Thus, the magistrate ordered the police to arrest her immediately and bring her before the court.
Jayaprada was a two-time MP and is presently serving in the Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP).
