Case Filed Against Janasena’s Glass Symbol

Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena faced a major setback ahead of the elections in Andhra Pradesh. Rashtriya Praja Congress Party filed a petition in the High Court to revoke the “Glass Tumbler” symbol of Jana Sena. The magistrate permitted an investigation into the issue.

The petitioner pointed out that allocating the Glass Tumbler symbol for Jana Sena violates the election code. The petitioner further stated that the Election Commission made Glass Tumbler a free symbol on May 13, 2023, and requested the commission to allot the symbol to the Rashtriya Praja Congress Party.

Rashtriya Praja Congress Party stated that Glass Tumbler was allocated to Jana Sena when their discussions were still underway with the EC. The EC allocated the Glass Tumbler symbol for Jana Sena on January 25. Even in the recently concluded Telangana Elections, Jana Sena contested with the same symbol.
