The High Court of Andhra Pradesh permitted the screening of the film Rajadhani Files in the state. The magistrate stated that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) issued the censor certificate after examining the report of the revising committee and according to the rules made under the Cinematograph Act of 1952.
On December 18, a petition was filed against the film’s release by YCP State General Secretary Lella Appi Reddy. He stated that the film tries to defame the state Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The court heard the case on February 13 and ordered a stay against the film’s exhibition yesterday.
Thus, many shows of Rajadhani Files across the state were stalled on February 15. The Court examined the case once again today and gave a green flag for the screening of the movie. The shows are expected to resume in the state very soon.
