Hyd: Man Asks Court To Ban Free Bus Rides For Women

Following their victory in last month’s elections, the Congress government in Telangana implemented a free bus service exclusively for women. With the government providing cost-free rides, a huge number of women have begun utilizing TSRTC buses.

Consequently, buses on various routes have experienced overcrowding, leaving many men without available seats, as all the seats are being occupied by women.

Due to this situation, an employee named Harender from Hyderabad’s Nagole has submitted a petition to the court, urging a ban on free bus rides for women. He contends that the overwhelming number of women taking advantage of free travel is resulting in men being unable to secure seats on the buses.
