HYD: Multiplex Fined Rs. 50,000 By GHMC

Miraj Cinemas: Cinetown, Miyapur, faced a Rs 50,000 penalty from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for imposing parking fees.

A citizen lodged a complaint with the Central Enforcement Cell of GHMC against Miraj Cinemas for charging parking fees for bikes, which violates regulations. Government policy dictates that malls and multiplexes should not levy parking fees, providing free parking facilities instead.

Following the individual’s social media complaint, accompanied by substantial evidence, EVDM imposed a penalty of Rs. 50,000 on Miraj Cinemas.
