Shortly after Pat Cummins claimed the title of the most expensive purchase in IPL history, his fellow Australian teammate Mitchell Starc shattered that record by securing the highest price ever in the league.
Kolkata Knight Riders made a staggering bid of Rs. 24.75 crores to acquire Mitchell Starc. The bidding war between Kolkata and Gujarat Titans was intense, culminating in KKR securing Starc’s services. Starc’s last appearance in the IPL dates back to 2015, marking his return to the league after a hiatus of nine years.
Part of the recent Australian squad victorious in the ODI World Cup, Starc stands as one of the esteemed fast bowlers in the annals of Australian cricket history.
