Musical genre or movies centred around music have been rare in our Telugu Cinema. Also, sensible teenage dramas have become rare too. A film, High School Musical, in Telugu cinema has not been touched upon for longest time. Jersey director, Gowtam Tinnanuri has decided to deliver a film that incorporates all these elements to deliver a fresh experience on big screen.
The movie is interestingly titled as Magic and it is scheduled for release for this Summer. The makers state that it is about a college band that comes together to create an original song as a band. Young cast have said to have delivered phenomenal performances.
Movie has been shot in Ooty and Coonor to capture the beauty of Nilgiri Hills, adding a layer in itself to the musical film. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander is said to have composed magical tunes for the film that will become instant chartbusters. Girish Gangadharan has handled cinematography for the film and the visuals are said to be stunning.
Suryadevara Nagavamsi, Sai Soujanya have produced the film on Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, respectively. Srikara Studios is presenting the film. Avinash Kolla has handled the production design and Neeraja Kona is the costume designer. The film is scheduled to release this Summer season, 2024. More details will be unveiled by the makers, soon.
