Mrunal Thakur shared her experience of being body-shamed by a Bollywood filmmaker in the past. Speaking in a recent interview, Mrunal said that she was not cast in a movie because the filmmaker didn’t find her “sexy” enough.
She also shared an experience where a director said, “Who is this village girl?” in an audition. Mrunal said that she faced such insults and body-shaming incidents in various instances in the past. Though Mrunal rose to stardom in Telugu, she is yet to get such impactful roles and big films in Hindi.
On the film front, Mrunal Thakur will be next seen in Vijay Deverakonda’s Family Star, which will hit the screens on April 5.
