Writer Sarath Chandra, who filed a case against Koratala Siva for allegedly copying his novel “Chachentha Prema” to make the superhit film “Srimanthudu”, has revealed that he actually wanted to adapt his story into a movie.
Sarath Chandra stated that he wanted to make a film based on his novel and Nara Rohit was his initial choice for the lead character. However, when the movie was in pre-production, Sarath Chandra was shocked to see Srimanthudu getting released with the same story.
Recently, Koratala Siva faced a setback in the Supreme Court as the magistrate rejected his plea in the copyright infringement case on Srimanthudu.
