The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has written to the Election Commission of India, asserting that there was no violation of the Model Code of Conduct by Finance Minister T Harish Rao, contrary to the reasons given for withdrawing permission for the Rythu Bandhu scheme funds disbursal.
The BRS party emphasized that Harish Rao had not made any comments violating the ECI’s orders and had merely expressed gratitude for allowing the scheme. “We don’t have enough time to go to courts,” said Keshava Rao, hoping for the scheme resumption.
The letter urged the ECI to withdraw the order and highlighted that the Rythu Bandhu scheme was crucial for farmers who have been receiving assistance for the past five and a half years.
